All About Us
Hi, I’m Mariana Báez, the owner and cookie decorator behind Cookie Nomad, based in Redmond, Washington. I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and after getting married in 2016, I moved to Seattle with my husband while he pursued his MBA. After three years in Seattle, we moved to Canada for 2.5 years, and in 2022, we returned to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where we’ve made our home.
I’ve loved decorating cookies since 2013, though it started as a fun hobby that I’d pick up on and off. But when my daughter, Julia, turned one, I rediscovered my passion and dove back into the world of cookie art. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into more than just a hobby, and I soon began teaching cookie decorating classes.
As my love for cookie decorating grew, it naturally evolved into taking custom orders for special occasions—weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and everything in between. Cookie Nomad was born from that passion, and today, I’m excited to create beautiful, custom cookie sets for all your special moments.
